In this new place, animals speak, forests shimmer, and Ifé Lela is fully seen for who she is. Through her journey, she begins to understand that her voice matters, her identity is powerful, and she is never truly alone.

 

Ifé Lela’s Magical Escape is an early reader chapter book for ages 5–8 that gently addresses themes of loneliness, implicit bias, self-worth, and belonging through fantasy and imagination. Designed to support social-emotional learning, the story centers a Black child’s inner world while offering young readers comfort, confidence, and hope.

 

This book is the first in Ifé Lela’s Magical Adventures, an ongoing series created to help children navigate big feelings, celebrate who they are, and discover the magic within themselves.
